I hope this finds you well. People are venturing out as businesses are opening. I'm choosing to stay home and only leave when absolutely necessary. So far that's once since the end of February. Luckily I'm happy watching my Christmas movies. It's 9 days until we reach 6 months to Christmas! The halfway mark. It's exciting for me because that's my birthday! Which means Christmas is my half birthday! I did add a personal Amazon wish list on the bottom of the website. Please don't feel any...

I hope this message finds you all well. I know with everything going on right now everyone is feeling stressed and some are a little overwhelmed. I wish I had magic words to make it all better for you but my only magic word is "Christmas". I find that escaping into Christmas movies where everyone is happy and things always work out is good for me. I read an article (I didn't keep it and now can't remember who published it) but they said that in a world full of change and chaos, watching movies...

I hope this finds you all well. I finally left the house a few days ago after 85 days at home. It was definitely weird. There were so many cars on the road and people out and about it felt like before the virus. Still, it was good to get out. I'm continuing to watch new movies and adding reviews to the site. I have 895 reviews posted and a few more ready to add. I've watched 174 Christmas movies so far in 2020. That, of course, includes movies I've watched before. I have, however, slowed down...

Well, we are on what feels like day 1,000 of the stay at home orders for non-essential workers. I'm used to being home most days but I imagine it must be difficult when you're used to be out and about. I'm really sad to see how quickly we've gone from gratitude for doctors, nurses, teachers, grocery workers, etc. to anger and protests. I wish we could all be united in our stand against this virus. I don't know how long all of it will last but I wish each of you peace of mind and heart as we...

Well, we’re on day.....I don’t even know, of the quarantine/stay at home period of this pandemic. I’m still watching my Christmas movies. They are so relaxing. I read a study but of course I don’t remember who published it. The study said that people like to rewatch TV episodes and movies because in a world of stress and constant change, it’s soothing to watch something when you know what’s going to happen. With Christmas movies I can even choose between drama, romance, comedy,...

Well, we’re on our second week of quarantine here. I know people who are working are afraid they’re being exposed. People at home are worried and going stir crazy. It’s a difficult time. I’m finding that watching familiar Christmas movies is actually relaxing. I popped popcorn and curled up in my chair. Of course, I do this year round for fun but now it’s especially needed. I’ve watched 119 Christmas movies in 2020. Even so, I find myself just exhaling and relaxing as familiar faces...

February was a short month, made a day longer with leap day. Still, I was able to watch 33 Christmas movies. This brings my 2020 total up to 94. If I stopped watching regular TV shows I could go crazy with movies. LOL Thanks to streaming services, I use Tubi and Amazon, I have been able to continue seeing new movies and adding new reviews. As of today, I'm up to 860 reviews on the website. I'll be honest. I was discussing the movies with a friend in October and saying how happy I was that with...
Updates · 02. February 2020
February is here. I was able to watch 61 Christmas movies in January so I’m hopeful about reaching my goal of 365 for the year. I’m also up to 850 Christmas reviews on the website and 182 Holiday/Seasonal reviews for a total of 1,032. I’m going to continue adding reviews all year. I’ve also gotten the years added to all the Christmas movies everywhere except the listing by actor. That’s still a work in progress. I’m feeling quite accomplished and I’m so grateful for everyone’s...

Well, we can call this New Year's resolution a failure. LOL. I vowed to write a blog entry every week this year and I've already missed the second one. What can you do but keep trying. I'm already missing Christmas but I'm still enjoying watching the movies. Thanks to my DVR, DVDs, and three Hallmark channels, I have plenty of movies to watch again. Thanks to streaming services, I'm finding all these movies I've never seen before. It keeps that Christmas spirit going. I'm still working on...
Updates · 02. August 2019
It’s officially August and Christmas In July is over. I don’t mind admitting that it makes me sad when the around the clock movies end. I’m grateful that Hallmark is still doing Thursday and Friday night movies but it’s not the same. The constant movies makes it feel like a bit of the Christmas spirit is with us and it takes a little less work to feel it. We just have to wait 3 months and they’ll be back. In the meantime we’ll watch the movies we have and keep spreading that...
