Still At Home

Well, we’re on day.....I don’t even know, of the quarantine/stay at home period of this pandemic. I’m still watching my Christmas movies. They are so relaxing. I read a study but of course I don’t remember who published it. The study said that people like to rewatch TV episodes and movies because in a world of stress and constant change, it’s soothing to watch something when you know what’s going to happen. With Christmas movies I can even choose between drama, romance, comedy, whatever genre I’m in the mood for. Truthfully, I’ve been more into the comedy and rom/coms than the dramas given that life is so dramatic these days.  I like to escape to the magical world of snow, Santa, and joy.

I'm constantly updating the Christmas movie schedule to keep it as accurate as I can.  I'm also watching movies that are new to me on streaming services.  That is allowing me to continue to add new reviews for you of movies that are available now.  If you're aware of any that I don't have listed, please feel free to let me know.  I’m almost done finishing updating the last of the actor lists. That has been such a project. I really had no idea when I started it.

I’m also constantly working on regaining my German. My grandfather, who was Scottish, came home from WWII fluent in German and taught it to me when I was a child. Unfortunately, he passed when I was 11 and I’ve forgotten most of it. I figured it would be a nice distraction from thinking about what’s going on right now.

I hope you’re all finding things to keep your minds busy.  I know many of you are trying to work from home while your children are doing virtual learning.  I know the world is under stress.  I hope you'll continue to visit and let me know how you are doing.

Until we meet again........
